FRIEND, Mr. Mark S.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday afternoon May 10, 2009. Mark was born August 16, 1952 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of William and Marilyn Borton Friend. Years ago, he served honorably with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with General Motors for 17 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his father, William; and a sister, Susan Jo. On August 24, 1985, he was united in marriage to Susan C. Fry Friend who survives. Also surviving, his mother, Marilyn Jack Sawyer of Pine Lake; a brother, William "Bill" Karen Friend of Muskegon, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
