HAMMINGA, Margaret I.
Kalamazoo Went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 23, 2013 at age 91. Margaret was born October 16, 1922 in Sturgis, MI to the late Lyndon and Clara Baldy Wyatt. She was united in marriage to Leonard Hamminga on April 3, 1948, who preceded her in death in November of 1988. She was a member of Oakwood Bible Church. Margaret is survived by her children, Lee Hamminga of St. Louis, MO and Gary Hamminga of Kalamazoo; granddaughters, Kristin Jason Guhl and Carrie Hamminga; great granddaughter, Kaylyn Joy Guhl; brother, Duard Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Hamminga; sisters, Ruth Gilson, Gladys Wyatt, Beverly Gordon, Mary Louise Royer; and brother, Donald Wyatt. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11:00 at Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Dr., where family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service. A private committal service will be in Genesee Prairie Cemetery. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Memorials may be directed to Oakwood Bible Church, Park Village Pines or to the Baptist Children's Home.
