Portage, MI Passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Borgess Hospital. Age 71. Dean was born in Muskegon, MI on February 18, 1944 to Merle and Marilynn Garrett Brydon. He worked for Midwest Molded Plastics and managed the Zoo Bar for 20 years. He was passionately involved with the LGBT community. He was a caring and loving person who was famous for his humor and enjoyed laughing. He enjoyed roller skating, singing and drawing cartoons. Dean is survived by his sister, Thelma Rich Boerson; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until time of the service. Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Dean's life at the Duck Inn at 8 p.m. on July 11th.
