Brizendine, LanE LeRoy "Briz"
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Age 62. LanE was born in Kalamazoo on March 19, 1951. He retired from Graphics Packaging. He loved cars and belonged to the NSRA National Street Rod Association. He was married to Pat Brizendine; she preceded him in death on March 31, 1993. He is survived by his girlfriend, Michelle Schwartz of Kalamazoo; three children, Tony Nancy Denotter Brizendine of Kalamazoo, Chad Nancy Reed Brizendine of Kalamazoo and Lisa Brandon Black; five grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Randy Jeannie Brizendine, Candy Larry Mollohan and Sue Ed Deible; and many nieces and nephews. LanE was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father, Earl Brizendine, Donna Brizendine Grotsema and Digger Grotsema; and his sister, Sandy Brizendine. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 4 p.m. & 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007, where the funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014. Pastor Ken Smeader will officiate with interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
