Passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the age of 84. He was born February 23, 1932 in Litchfield, MI to the late Irvin and Ina (Dorris) King. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Elaine Lohness on November 6, 1954. Ken served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, from July of 1950 until honorably discharged in May of 1954. A pilot himself, Ken had a love of airplanes. He and his wife, Geri were members of Second Reformed Church for 38 years. Ken is survived by his wife, Geraldine King; grandchildren, Matthew (Karen) King and Joshua King; sister, Ruth Wooden; and several nieces and nephews. Ken was also preceded in death by his son, Lawrence M. King; and siblings, Charles, Arthur and Donald King and twin-brother, Keith King. The family will greet friends on Monday, December 5th, from 10-11:00 am at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Dr., Kalamazoo, MI 49008, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Pastor Kevin Hart officiating. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Burial will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken's name may be directed to Second Reformed Church or to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
