HOTRUM, Kathleen D.

Kathy passed away on Monday morning, February 1, 2016 at her home. She was born on December 12, 1939 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Chet and Barbara (St. Arnault) McGraw. On November 2, 1958, she was united in marriage to Charles W. Hotrum. Kathy was employed by Kalamazoo Public Schools for over 30 years working mostly as a bus driver and the last few years in the KPS Child Care Center. Surviving are her four children: Shawn Hotrum of Kalamazoo, Loralie (Dan) Cross of Kalamazoo, Holly Pierce of Battle Creek and Michael Hotrum of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren: Phil (Tiffany) Hotrum, Curtis (Alicia) Hotrum, Candice (Dave) Hinshaw, Haleigh Hotrum, Brandon Motsinger, Brandy Motsinger, Raymond Motsinger and Crystal Pierce; seven great-grandchildren; brother: James McGraw of Portage; sister: Linda (John) Green of CA; step-mother, Betty Hotrum of Indianapolis, IN. Preceding her in death were her husband of 45 years: Charles Hotrum and daughter-in-law, Wendy Hotrum. A memorial service to celebrate Kathy's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Feb. 5, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center.
