Karen S Meier

Passed away Monday afternoon, October 19, 2020. Karen was born November 30, 1962 in Cherry Hill, NJ the daughter of Ronald and Dagmar Hermanns. She was a graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School; class of 1981, and attended KVCC. She was involved with the Lion's Club. Karen was a devoted mother who enjoyed sharing her children's accomplishments and loved her solitaire. She was also a huge Barry Manilow Fan! Karen is survived by her fiancé, Wayne Flipse; children, Megan Meier, Adam Meier; her mothers, Dagmar Hermanns & Margerie VanGeel; sisters and brothers, Kim Hermanns, Debbie Davis, Michael Hermanns, Charles VanGeel, Jr., John VanGeel, Brian VanGeel, Angela Stuckey; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to the Lending Hands, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, or Rose Arbor. Cremation has taken place and there will be a small service at the VFW Post #827 (562 Portage Street Kalamazoo 49001) on Saturday, October 31st from 10am to 2pm.
