VINCENT, Judith A. "Judy"
Portage Judith passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 10, 2015 at the age of 78. She was born August 18, 1936 to the late Arlon and Bertha Price Sliter. She was united in marriage to Thomas E. Vincent on May 29, 1963. Thomas preceded her in death in May of 1995. She was a 1954 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. Judy served in the U.S. Army from March of 1955 until honorably discharged in March of 1957. She was an inspector with The Upjohn Company where she worked for 31 years until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and the Kalamazoo Wings. Judy is survived by her children, Denise Lloyd McIntire, Dawn Jon Obuchowski and Douglas Brandi Vincent; grandchildren, Brandon Cochran, Devyn Vincent, Kobe Vincent, Connor McIntire and Brylei Vincent; sister, Jean Donald Peters; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister who was stillborn, Amy Lynette; and other siblings Duane Sliter and Kathleen Bowling. The family would like to recognize the dedication and friendship of Ruthie Walker and Diane LeBlanc. The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, where services will take place on Friday at 10:00 o'clock. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center. A family and friends gathering will follow the burial, at Doug and Brandi's home.
