Joyce Northrup

Joyce Arlene Northrup, 92, of Portage went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2019. She was born December 14, 1926 in Kalamazoo to the late Floyd and Fern Hazel (Becker) Lantz. Joyce was a lifelong member of Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church, where she once served as treasurer. She was also an accountant for many years with Your Personal Rainbow. She was united in marriage on January 25, 1946 to Richard D. Northrup who preceded her in death after 61 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her children, Kayla Faykin and Jeffery Northrup; and siblings, Jean Maxwell, Maxine Williams, Geraldine VanLerBerghe and Elaine Ulmer. She is survived by 4 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 13 at 11:00am at Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church, 5550 Oakland Drive, Portage, MI 49024. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10-11:00am at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church.
