Joyce Ann Boubelik

BOUBELIK, JOYCE A.
of Kalamazoo, MI

Joyce, age 80 went very peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, with her husband David at her bedside on Thursday afternoon in Bronson Hospital, after a long battle with many bouts and hospitalizations with aspiration pneumonia. Born on August 22,1939 in Muncie, Indiana, Joyce was a graduate of Muncie High, and went on to receive further credentials at Ball State towards a nursing degree. She completed her education at Oklahoma State, and received her LVN rating, working in hospital coronary care units. Joyce is the mother of three children, Janet Reha, Joanie Keown, and Phil Greeley, and the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, and also blessed with a loving step family.

Joyce and Dave were married in Vacaville California, and lived there for 18 years where Joyce was a realtor before moving to Kalamazoo. Joyce was very active serving her Lord and Savior in so many ways, always with a cheerful smile and warm greeting! She has enjoyed singing in the church choir for over 30 years, and is a member of Berean Baptist Church since moving to Kalamazoo 26 years ago. She also enjoyed activities with the Kalamazoo Newcomers Club. Joyce will be sorely missed by her loving husband, by her whole extended family, and by all who were blessed to know her! Through faith in Jesus, and the promise of God's Word, we are confident that we will be together again in Heaven one glorious day!

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00am on Thursday, October 17th at the Berean Baptist Church, 7813 South 12th Street, Kalamazoo, MI. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am at the church with Pastor Bill Abernathy and Pastor Nichols officiating. Immediately following the service there will be a time of food and fellowship in the church hall. A private family interment will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
