GLOVER, Joseph Edward
Kalamazoo Passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 in Kalamazoo. Joseph was born in Kalamazoo, a son of the late Kenneth R. and Mollie Ann Opatik Glover and was a resident of the Kalamazoo area for many years. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for several years and served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed hunting and repairing cars and was a member of the VFW, Post 6252 of Comstock. Joseph is survived by his wife, Mary Glover; 3 step-children, Mark Heather Veres, of Augusta; Andy Kelly Veres of Portage and Jennifer Lobello of Augusta; 6 step-grandchildren, Mark Veres, Jr., Matthew Veres, Megan McNabb, Cierra Veres, Katie Veres and Zen Lobello; a brother, Gary Glover of NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol. A visitation will take place on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
