Passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the age of 43. Jason was born in Kalamazoo on August 31, 1973, the son of the late Paul Shearer and Kay (Triestram) Shearer. He graduated from Portage Central High School in 1991, where he was in the school marching band. He enjoyed hunting & fishing and was an avid fan of Marvel Comics & Star Wars and a fan of the Carolina Panthers. He was proud to have many devoted friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Amy (Borowski) Shearer and their three children, Paul James, Emily Marie and Jacob Alan; one sister, Susan (Mike) Feare and their daughter, Mikayla Feare; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial gathering will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Kalamazoo First Church, 5550 Oakland Drive. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Go Fund Me for the Shearer family.
