TOMAK, James Lee
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Went to be with the Lord, Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2013 after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Lee was born December 13, 1938 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Donald and Madeline Corwin Tomak. Prior to his retirement he was employed with General Motors as a foreman for 30 years. Lee loved the Lord and was a member of the Pathfinder Church formerly Portage First United Methodist and enjoyed all sports, especially golf, basketball, and baseball. On September 7, 1958 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Jacqueline Nower, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Kenneth Chris Tomak, Karen Kevin Musick; 4 grandchildren, Heather BJ Kuperus, Michael Tomak, Kristin and Kaitlyn Musick; 2 great-grandchildren, Seth and Paige; 2 brothers, Ronald Glenda Tomak, Edward Vicki Tomak; and several nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Kathryn Tomak. A service to celebrate Lee's life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 10 at the Pathfinder Church, 8740 S. Westnedge. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Private interment of cremains will be in the Pathfinder Church Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, Southern Care Hospice, the Shepherd's Center, Pathfinder Church or Alamo Nursing Home.
