Kalamazoo, MI Died peacefully Saturday morning July 23, 2011 with his family at his side. James was born August 22, 1947 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Delbert and Betty Mott Nutt. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with National Water Lift for 44 years, retiring in 2010. James enjoyed fishing, morel hunting, camping in the U.P., and Nascar. He was also an avid Red Wings, Tigers, and even a Lions fan. On August 4, 2006, he was united in marriage to Sue A. Zanetti Nutt who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, John Martha Nutt and James Shannon Nutt all of Kalamazoo; a step son, Jason Hinga of West Palm Beach, FL; a granddaughter, Kalie Hinga; his parents, Delbert Betty Nutt of Lawton; twin sisters, Sue Bartoletti of Allendale and Sally Gildea of Vicksburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date.
