Helen passed away on Monday morning, May 28, 2018 at her home. She was born on December 23, 1932 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Henry and Lois (Skinner) VanDyken. On October 20, 1952, Helen was united in marriage to Donald D. Mann. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. Helen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are three children: Don (Darla) Mann, Randy (Dianne) Mann, Carrie Newcomb; seven grandchildren: Christa (Chris) Kermode, Jason (Jennifer) Mann, Jerrod Mann, Nathan (Emily) Mann, Chad Newcomb, Tonya (Leo) Rodriguez and Kelsey Newcomb; nine great-grandchildren; sister: Beverly (Bill) Beeke; and son-in-law: Leonard Campbell. Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Don Mann and daughter: Cindy Campbell. Helen's family would like to express the heartfelt gratitude to her granddaughter, Tonya, for the love and care provided to Helen during her final years. A service to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 1, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, where friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
