Portage, MI Died Friday morning February 25, 2011. Greg was born January 13, 1958 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Max and Joyce Orr Crawford. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and had been employed with the Fieldstone Grill Restaurant. Greg was also a member of the Center Point Church; and the Lake Doster Golf Club. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; and a son, Rex Ellis. On December 31, 1992, he was united in marriage to Patricia D. Haessig Crawford who survives. Also surviving, a daughter, Melinda "Mindy" Ellis of Plainwell; 3 grandchildren, Lauren and Morgan DeHaan, and Keith Kurstie Ellis; 2 great-grandchildren, Keith Ellis, Jr. and Kiara Ellis; his father, Max Barbara Crawford of Kalamazoo; 5 brothers and sisters, Gary Nancy Stack of Port Angeles, WA, Roger Stack of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Colleen Joe Wilson of Louisville, KY, and Kristina Steinman and Garth Crawford both of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 1 o'clock Thursday at the Center Point Church, 2345 North 10th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Housing Resources, Inc., Family Shelter, 522 Eleanor, St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
