COLVIN, Gloria K.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Kalamazoo. Gloria was born October 1, 1942 in Moline, IL, a daughter of James H. and Leila Marie Kays Colvin and was a lifelong resident of the Parchment area. She was very proud of her 13 years of service as a crossing guard for the Parchment School System. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Suzanne Brown. Surviving are her sister, Linda Jim Sylva, of Upland, CA; her brother, Andrew Colvin Kimberly Kiley of Comstock; many nieces and nephews; and her sidekick, Maxine Webb and her dog, Bucky. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A committal service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Mt. Ever-Rest Chapel, 3941 S. Westnedge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank the staff of ICU 8 and of 3E of Borgess Medical Center for the care that was given to Gloria during her stay.
