CLARK, Gladys J.
Of Richland Passed away Tuesday November 12, 2013 in Valdosta, GA. Gladys was born May 31, 1926 in Homer, MI the daughter of Claude and Marie Sharp Mansfield. Prior to her retirement she worked for 25 years with Kalamazoo Savings and Loan. She was a member for over 60 years with Beta Sigma Phi, and enjoyed reading, traveling, bowling, crafts, and attending craft shows. Gladys mostly enjoyed spending time with her family; especially attending her grandchildren's various events. On August 6, 1949 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Raymond who preceded her in death on October 7, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon VanderBroek; and a sister, Elsie Moore. Surviving are her two daughters, Susan Ron Alexander of Kalamazoo, Sandi Dave VanderBroek of Eagle, MI; a grand-daughter Brittany VanderBroek; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, November 21 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest North Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the committal service at the Westside Chapel. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Westside Chapel. A Beta Sigma Phi ceremony will be held at 7:00pm. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
