of Kalamazoo, Michigan Formerly of Cleveland, Ohio Died Monday, May 7, 2012 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Age 57 years. He was born July 30, 1954, the son of the late August J. and Jeannette E. Timlin Hoffman. He graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. While attending Kent State University he belonged to Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Gerald worked as a statistical analyst in the telecommunications industry. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed biking and golf. Surviving are two daughters, Rachel Hoffman and Alix Hoffman, both of Kalamazoo; four sisters, Shirli Zebrowski of Brunswick, OH, Sharon Malysa of Chardon, OH, Joan Steven Bench of Tampa, FL and Nancy Thomas Cole of Wickliffe, OH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Bronson Methodist Hospital.
