Died early Tuesday morning May 8, 2018 at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Gary was born July 2, 1950 in Adrian, Michigan a son of Lawrence and Hazel (Scott) Bennett. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 30 years and was employed with Metro Toyota. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his former spouse, Brenda Bennett of Mattawan; 3 daughters, Rachel (Nathan) Campbell of NH, Mercedes Bennett of FL, and Melena Bennett of Mattawan; a brother, Larry (Pam) Bennett of FL; 3 sisters, Sandy (Tom) Foster, Carolyn Black, and Judy (Bob) Morford all of MI; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 12 o'clock Friday, June 1st in Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Battle Creek VA Medical Center or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
