Kalamazoo Passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Frances was born November 21, 1921 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of John V. and Lulu Hoose Case and lived in the Kalamazoo area all of her life. She was an accountant for Kalamazoo Spring Company for several years. On July 14, 1942, she married William De Young, who survives. She is also survived by their children, Dick Brenda De Young of Kalamazoo and Nancy Maxson of Memphis, TN; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Reynolds of Galesburg; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Robbins and a sister, Genevieve Westbrook. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Rev. Fritz Kruithof officiating. Interment will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
