Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Monday, April 20, 2009. Mrs. Krietz was born November 10, 1910 in Manitoba, Canada, a daughter of Gustav and Teline Sperling Drajeske and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; 5 brothers, Frank, Emil, Herman, Gustav and Henry; 3 sisters, Augusta, Emma and Pauline; 3 grandchildren, Mark, Lourie and William. She is survived by her children, Richard Drajeske, Carol Norman Orr, Alice Short, Clarence Diane Krietz and Donna Calvin Hounshell; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge, with Pastor Louis W. Grother officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Wednesday from 5-9 PM. Memorial donations may be given to the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Foundation, P.O. Box 4070, Kalamazoo, MI. 49003-4070.
