Dorothy Elaine (Tefft) Barstow

of Kalamazoo, MI

Passed away on December 6, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Dorothy was born May 15th, 1924 in Kalamazoo, MI daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Burbridge) Tefft. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School followed by attending St. Camillus School of Nursing Borgess Hospital. She then entered the Cadet Nurse Corps stationed at the United States Marine Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia. Dorothy later married the love of her life, Robert H. Barstow. They were blessed to enjoy over 50 years together. Surviving are three children, Timothy (Sandy) Barstow of Laramie, WY, Dawn Eastes of Nolensville, TN and Kay Clark of Kalamazoo, MI. Her three grandchildren, Ashley (Derek) Ranck, Andrew Eastes, Kyle Clark (Danielle Abitz), and one great grandchild, Weston Ranck, were the light of her life. Per her wishes, there will be a private service at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
