Debra Ann Brown was a caring and compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She passed away peacefully February 14, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI at the age of 56, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 25, 1965 in Stuart, Fl, daughter of Fred and Cozetter (Coker) Brown. To know Debra was to love her. She had a heart of gold and dedicated her life to caring for others, working in the Healthcare field for 30 plus years before finally retiring in 2016 from Borgess Gardens. Retirement did not slow her down; it was just the beginning. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, listening to music, spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and dog, Kizzi- Ann, as well as friends and family. She also had a strong Christian faith and took great pride in worshiping the Lord, reading the Word, as well as spreading the Word of God. Debra is survived by her three daughters & Sons-In-Law: LaToya (Brown) & Byron Prude, Dawanna (Edwards) & Mursjoni Moten Sr, Ja'Leesa Edwards & Juanico Brown. Honorary Sons: Ricky Marshall, Jr. & Antonio Ferguson, Jr. Also survived by her grandchildren: Olivia Parker, Karson Arnett, Zariah Brown, and Mursjae Moten. Also survived by her siblings, Johnny Brown and Betty-Sue Brown, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and the father of her children, Wayne Edwards. Debra was preceded in death by both her parents, Fred & Cozetter (Coker) Brown; older sister, Olamae (Brown) Griffin; as well as her life mate, Antonio Ferguson, Sr. A homegoing service to celebrate Debra's life will be held at 1:00pm Friday, February 25 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 S.
