BRONSON, Dawn L.
Kalamazoo Dawn passed away Monday evening, June 30, 2014 at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo. She was born on January 19, 1951 in Kalamazoo, one of four children to Norman and Gloria Goodsell Vliek. Her hobbies included knitting, traveling, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren. On January 2, 1971, she married Edward Bronson, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Todd Bronson of Otsego and Tonya Trey Hiemstra of Otsego; five grandchildren, Nicholas Salladay, Kristin Hiemstra, Brittany Hiemstra, Kaitlynn Hiemstra and Macey Hiemstra; sister, Linda Jim Hefele of Tucson, AZ; brother, Randy Mary Vliek of Vicksburg; sister-in-law, Mary Vliek of Florida; several nieces and nephews; a circle of friends; and her Goff Lake family. Preceding her in death were her parents, Norman and Gloria Vliek and brother, Terry Vliek. Visitation for Dawn will be from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, July 3, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 5, followed by a luncheon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Kairos Dwelling or Faith Chapel Ministries.
