Darla J. Holtman

Passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the age of 76. Darla was born on September 3, 1940, in Kalamazoo to the late Murl and Lucia "Sally" (Laudenslager) Cowling. She was united in marriage to John Holtman on September 8, 1956. Darla enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a very active and involved grandmother; biking, roller skating, sledding, catching frogs as well as fishing with her grandkids. She and John enjoyed vacations away as well as time spent together sitting in their front yard enjoying her many flowers with her beloved dog Dolly sitting in a chair beside her. Darla will always be remembered for her kind ways, beautiful smile and being a loving mother to many. Surviving are her husband: John Holtman; four children: Angela (Joel) Pierce, John (Debbie) Holtman, Scott (Tricia) Holtman, and Patty (Tom) Reid; several grand and great grandchildren; three sisters: Terry (Don) Lacey, Gina Cowling and Moralea (Johan) Stickley; and several nieces and nephews. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no visitation or services are scheduled.
