of Comstock Cindi passed away Friday evening, December 6, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on February 7, 1961 in Kalamazoo. Cindi enjoyed reading and watching television. But mostly, she loved to shop garage sales and her 2 cars, Big Red and Billy, could sniff out a good garage sale any day. Surviving are her husband, Gilbert Angel Benavidez; three children, Matthew Hinesley, Anthony Hinesley, and Gilbert Jesse Casimiro Benavidez; mother, Linda Jones-Newnum; sisters, Monica John Miner friend, Leslie Lowman and Davianna "Beth" Steve Finney; brothers, George "Johnnie-Ray" Newnum and David "Little David" Jones, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father, David Jones and son, Damian Jones. A funeral service for Cindi will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Interment will follow in Comstock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
