Passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. Age 76. Celia was born in San Benito, TX on June 21, 1939, the daughter of the late Hermenijildo and Perfecta (Garcia) Zuniga. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing. She loved spending time with her family and her world revolved around her grandchildren, Ryan and Logan. She was married to her beloved husband, Arthur O'Dell on May 18, 1975; he preceded her in death on March 20, 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Eloisa (Aaron) Tipton; step-children, Herbert O'Dell and Pamela Gimbel; grandchildren, Ryan & Logan Tipton and Larry (Amanda) Quinn, Joseph & Robert Gimbel; siblings, Hermenijildo Zuniga, Yolanda Lopez, Guadalupe Orta and her very dear sister and friend, Eloisa Haney; and many, MANY nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Manuel, Reynaldo, Dionicio, Jose, Maria and Sylvestre Zuniga, Cruz Saldivar and Ysabel Rincones. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 25th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Msgr. Michael Hazard will officiate with interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Tree of Life School, 2001 Cameron St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
