Formerly of Kalamazoo Passed away suddenly on Friday, February 13, 2015. Age 38. Carrie was born in Kalamazoo on October 1, 1976, the daughter of Richard and Wendi Johnson McIntyre. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Micro-Biology from Western Michigan University. She was a proud volunteer and supporter of the SPCA and enjoyed collecting Barbie's. She is survived by her loving husband Duane Griffin; one son, Madden Lee Griffin; two step-daughters, Amanda Love Griffin and Kelsi Lynn Griffin; her father and mother, Richard and Wendi McIntyre; one sister, Stephenie Kevin Sinclair and their daughter, Ashlynn; her grandparents, Robert and Jeanne Johnson; several very loved aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her precious cats, Chandler and Milo. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Pastor Greg Carlson will officiate. Private interment will take place later in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Binder Park Zoo or SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
