Carol Lou Tinkey

Carol Lou Tinkey passed away Friday October 15, 2021, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born December 9, 1939, in Kalamazoo, MI a daughter of the late Lewis and Marian (Boelman) Stuckum and had been a lifelong area resident. On April 8, 1988, Carol married Lawrence Tinkey, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 8, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jesse Heacock, IV; sister, Florence Konkle; and brother, Duane Stuckum. Carol is survived by her children and stepchildren, Barbara (Dick) Cavner of Lawton, Bill (Krista) Heacock of Parchment, Brenda Heacock of Parchment, Kandice (Henry) Ouding of Kalamazoo, Donna (David) McMullen of Portage, Lawrence (Elah) Tinkey, Jr. of Groveland, FL, and Steven Tinkey of Galesburg; grandchildren, Adam, Jesica, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Ava and Blake; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the Tinkey side of the family; siblings, Nancy Lintz of Constantine, Bill (Caroline) Stuckum of Covert, and Susan Dysard of Winter Haven, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 4-7pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Services will be held 11am Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the funeral home and interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South.
