Beverly Gean Widener unexpectedly passed away Friday afternoon December 18, 2020 in Ft. Myers, Florida, surrounded by her family. Beverly was born May 14, 1944 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a daughter of Otto Delbert and Ethel Nora (Hughbert) Byrd.

Beverly married the love of her life, Charles W. Widener, on January 20, 1962. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Grandma—her family meant everything to her. She will be deeply missed by all. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for many years before moving to the warm weather of Cape Coral, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles W. Widener; a brother, Thurman "T-Byrd" Byrd; and a sister, Katie McDaniels.

Beverly is survived by two sons, Cary (Nancy) Widener of Cape Coral, Florida, and Brian (Lori) Widener of Richland, Michigan; four grandchildren, Justin, Nate, Jessie, and Allie; as well as several nephews and cousins. A private visitation will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI.

Beverly will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Comstock, MI.
