Passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the age of 72. She was born June 5, 1944 in West Sayville, NY to the late Anthony and Jane (VanEssendelft) Style. Betty was united in marriage to Robert Vande Polder on January 17, 1964. Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Vande Polder; children, Scott (Anita) Vande Polder and their children, Christopher, Monique, Robin, LoriAnne and Tony; Curtis (Jan) Vande Polder and their children, Joel and Brooke; and Susan (Jim) Vander Klay and their children, Grace, Emily and Ashley; siblings, Bruce (Earline) Style, Jerry Style and Toni (Frank) Dykstra; sisters-in-law, Helen Vande Polder and Brenda Pinkster; and several nieces and nephews. No visitation or services are scheduled. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty's name may be directed to Son-Life Camp Christian Ministries, 189 126th Ave., Wayland, MI 49348.
