Betty L. Kirby (Hoff), age 87 of Kalamazoo, left to live with her Lord on Monday, November 23, 2020. She was born May 29, 1933 in Kalamazoo to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Dieterman) Hoff.
Betty resided in Clermont, Florida during the winters. She worked as the secretary to the Principal at Comstock High School for 13 years and later went to work for the Upjohn Company, retiring in 1997. She served as a former President of the Kalamazoo Stroke Club and Secretary for the Roosevelt School Reunion. She was also Secretary of the Upjohn Company retirees for many years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Dave; parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Hoff; stepmother, Laura Hoff; sisters, Martha Sillars and Millie VanTyne; and brother, Larry "Jug" Hoff.
She leaves behind three children, Christine (John) Northam, Cindy (Lanny) Smith, Dave (Terrie) Kirby; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill (Joyce) Hoff.
Per Betty's wishes, cremation will take place. She will be laid to rest with a private family committal at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. A memorial to celebrate Betty's life will be planned at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
