BLODGETT, Mrs. Barbara A. Molenaar
of Climax, Michigan Died Tuesday morning May 6, 2014 . Barbara was born August 7, 1944 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Cornelius "Casey" and Esther Louis Molenaar. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Consumer Energy for 36 years, retiring in 2003. Barbara was also a member of the Climax Scotts American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Blodgett; grandnephew, Oliver Molenaar; step granddaughter, Breanne Blodgett; and a sister-in-law, Esther Molenaar. She is survived by Stephen Way of Climax; 2 brothers, Harold E. Molenaar of Holland and Roger L. Judy Molenaar of Kalamazoo; 2 aunts, Betty Molenaar and Marian Louis; nephews, Daniel S. Susan Molenaar, William M. Astrida Molenaar, and Scott A. Molenaar; niece, Kimberly K. Donald Gjeltema; step children, Bret Blodgett, Dyrinda Tom Price, Bree Rick Vandis, Belinda Dave Terry, and Brad Georgia Blodgett; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several other aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 12 noon Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple St. Visitation will be from 10-12:00 prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Climax Scotts American Legion Auxiliary, or the charity of your choice.
