Arthur P. Beach

BEACH, Arthur P.
of Comstock Arthur Perry Beach was born March 4, 1934, in Paw Paw, the son of Perry and Ida Newton Beach and passed away December 6, 2011, in Kalamazoo. He was a longtime Comstock area resident and had served in the U. S. Army. On September 19, 1957, he was united in marriage to the former SueZanLei "Sue" Smith. For many years he was employed with Allen Electric. Art was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and especially enjoyed swimming at the YMCA. The most important part of Art's life was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Sue Beach; three daughters, Candy Beach of Portage, Lorie Beach of Kalamazoo and Mary and Troy Quakenbush of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Kyle, Shelbie, Zackery Michael, Kaylei and Bryson; siblings, Rosie Joe Nania, Pauline Ray Turrentine, Ray Jan Beach; sister-in-law, Nancee Beach and Edith Beach; many nieces and nephews. Art was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Fred, Eddie, Norma and Lloyd. Graveside Services with military honors will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 26th at Ft. Custer National Cemetery for those attending services please meet in the cemetery assembly area at 9:45 AM. Memorials in Art's memory may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
