WALDRON, Arneda B.
of Portage, Michigan Passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home. She was born November 27, 1923 in Poplar Bluff, MO the daughter of the late Ewell and Minnie Caldwell Ferguson and had been a Portage resident for many years. On April 26, 1941, she married Paul H. Waldron, who joined the United States Navy in August, 1942. Paul preceded her in death on June 17, 1999. In 1952, she went to work for Kalamazoo Pant Co., Redwood and Ross division, where she started as a phone operator, and soon moved to accounting, where she became a supervisor. In 1984, she was made a Vice-President of Redwood and Ross. Arneda retired in November of 1989 and traveled with Paul, spending time in Florida. She is survived by her sons and their families, David & Laurie Waldron and their sons, Matthew and Chris; Mark & Linda Waldron and their daughter, Ashley, a son Ethan, and a granddaughter, Addison of Kalamazoo. She is also survived by a brother, Ronald J. Anne Ferguson of Sun City, AZ. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Willis Barbara Ann Ferguson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at 11:00 AM in the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2031 Cork St., with Pastors Greg Silvey and Kevin Barker officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, South. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., on Friday from 6-8 PM and on Saturday at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church.
