Passed away June 27, 2010 at Upjohn Nursing Home. Annette was born December 31, 1912 in Grand Rapids, MI, a daughter of John and Sarah Luyk. She married P.L. Arendsen on October 17, 1936. Annette was a long time and very active member of the Milwood United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Mary Martha Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband P.L. Arendsen on June 22, 2003 and by her parents and all of her siblings. Surviving are a daughter Nancy Arendsen of Chicago, IL; 3 sisters-in-law, Althea Luyk and Ruth Luyk, both of Byron Center and Vera Arendsen of Holland; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held in the chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery on Thursday at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Philip Steele, O.S.L. officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Annette's memory be made to the Milwood United Methodist Church.
