Kalamazoo, MI Alice went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 13, 2011. She was born on October 3, 1920 to Eye and Anna Landt, celery farmers in Comstock. In 1941, she married Egbert "Ipe" Zuiderveen. A true homemaker and dedicated mother, she was very active at Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church. Alice cherished all her family. Especially dear to her were granddaughter, Julie Fraaza and special friend Trudy DeHaan. She was preceded in death by: her husband in 1977; a son, Larry; a brother, Peter Landt; 3 sisters, Jennie Meyer, Betty Van Dyk, Marie VanderRoest, and a great-grandson, Steven Zuiderveen. Surviving are: 3 children Ron Irene Zuiderveen, Beverly Glen Fraaza and David Kym Zuiderveen; a daughter-in-law, Alice Zuiderveen, a sister, Aleda Elzerman, 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Private interment will be held in West Cooper Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 1:00 Thursday afternoon March 17, 2011, at Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church, 1454 West E Ave., with Rev. George Auperlee, officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the services. Memorials should be directed to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association or Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church.
