Michelle’s recommendations from colleagues are as follows:
Michelle is one of the most genuine people I know which translates into extraordinary care for our patients and their families. She is also a caring and respected colleague.
Family members really appreciate and remember Michelle. She always gives excellent care and has a good rapport with caregivers.
Michelle leaves an impression on patients and families. She has a gift of making anyone feel comfortable. Michelle would give her shirt off from her back if someone needed it. When someone is in need, she wants nothing more but to help that person. I am happy to know she and I [as nurse and CNA] are sharing a patient as I trust Michelle and her true calling to care for hospice patients. How special for patients in need of her loving tender care. Also, how special for her coworkers, Michelle is a pleasure to work with and has a great sense of humor.
Michelle is an amazing HHA, she is always caring and ready to step up for any request from me. She is my HHA for all of the patients I case manage. We often bump into each other in the field during our visits. She is a joy. I have to say as Hospice RN for 13 plus years, she deserves recognition and admiration.
You can tell that the attention and care she gives her patients is truly from the heart.
You know that someone is special at what they do when you want to do the work the same way. You think " how would Michelle do it?! That’s what I think about Michelle. She has a beautiful gift and takes pride in that. And it's reflected in the pts great care and family's responses in that great care.
It is captivating to witness her ability to be so calm and collected but yet, so vibrant and full of life. Michelle embodies the role of caregiver, providing a safe and supportive environment where folks feel accepted without criticism. She is never judgmental. She gives so much of herself to help others. Even when things are not going right she remains upbeat and positive. She is always willing to go the extra miles. She listens with the intent to hear others and gives the best advice. She naturally inspires others to do better and be better just by being herself. I am grateful to be a part of the same team as Michelle.
Michelle is authentic, compassionate and a hard worker. She is dependable and trustworthy. She faces challenges with patients and doesn’t turn away from the hard things.
I only know Michelle through reputation and have heard nothing but positive remarks, both from facility staff members as well as patients and family! During informationals, it is not uncommon for participants to have past experience with WOHH and Michelle's name has come up several times with fond memories attached. I think it’s wonderful she is being nominated!
Michelle is Amazing!!! She always goes above and beyond often volunteering to pick up hours on the Holiday’s and Weekends for patients/families who really need personal care help.
